Safety

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) have mandatory safety standards that every product sold within Australia must comply with. Even though complying with these standards is mandatory, unfortunately independent laboratory testing is not. In order for manufacturers (like us) to be 100% sure their products comply, independent testing should be done because home tests just don't cut it and it's not worth the risk!

The mandatory standard applies to toys for children up to and including 36 months old. These are created to reduce the chances of small parts coming off toys during play or after reasonable wear and tear, therefore helping to prevent choking, suffocation, or death.

All baby toys being sold on our website (including our Vera play-gym frame & toys, dummy clips, pram garlands & teething rings) have each been independently tested and adhere to the mandatory standards AS/NZS 8124. If you'd like to see any of our safety certificates just email us! And like any product with small parts, always supervise your baby/toddler when they're using it and discard immediately if broken.

When shopping for gorgeous beaded products, be cautious of designs that are loose, floppy, have visible knots, beads that can slide up and down the string and/or include clasps. If in doubt, just ask for safety certificates before purchasing.
