Elle Collective (formally Elle Homewares) began when wife (Lauren) wanted to buy a concrete succulent planter from a local homewares shop. Husband (Nate) thought it would fun to experiment in their home garage making one. Not only was he successful, but he also started creating a range of high quality concrete items which were then sold at various local markets.
Once Lauren & Nate fell pregnant with their first baby, they decided to research, design and craft environmentally-friendly products for babies. Before they knew it, the table saw replaced the concrete mixer and working with timber was their new love!
The duo aims to make products that are beautiful, modern, high quality, safe and functional! They have made sure that all of their beaded products meet the mandatory safety standards for toys, through independent laboratory testing. The couple also love supporting other handmade small businesses in Australia by selling their products too.
Being a Primary teacher, Lauren loves designing and creating educational toys and resources that she hopes young children (ages 3+) will enjoy. You can check out some activities she does at home with her son on Instagram, @ellecollective_kids.
"Thank you for taking a look at our products and for supporting our little business. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see new updates and promotions!"
